Untitled Project Space in Berlin is presenting SentimentSuperSet, a collaborative exhibition by Raquel Villa and Lukas Rafik Mayer. The exhibition provides an immersive disquisition into a superset of shared sentiments and fascinations, weaving together a series of interconnected digital worlds, from burning ocean tides to frog-like alien creatures.

Raquel Villa, born in 1994 in Spain, residing and working in London, is a visual artist with a background in architecture, inventing speculative worlds and fantasia driven by an intense curiosity about uncommon behaviors and physics. She aims to progressively evolve and push her artistic experiments marked by uncanny dynamics, the surreal, and magical realism. Lukas Rafik Mayer, residing and working in Bavaria, Germany, is a visual artist and designer translating physical phenomena and natural patterns into the digital. The duo transforms Untitled Project Space into a digital pleasure garden, where each component operates independently yet interlinks to form a cohesive and harmonious environment. The unique digital landscapes follow sinusoidal rhythms, allowing a natural flow within this meticulously arranged setting.

At the heart of “SentimentSuperSet” is the portrayal of natural phenomena—surreal ocean tides, playful lava flows, and the rhythmic breathing of tiny, alien-like creatures. These elements coalesce into a digital ecosystem. The depiction of oceanic tides is designed to evoke a sensation of self-transportation that one experiences while watching sea waves. Furthermore, the subtle movements of a small, frog-like alien character that inhabits unusual spaces within the installation symbolize the interconnectedness of life forms within this expansive digital universe. Five risograph prints in metallic silver function as physical memories for the future, accompanied by the silent presence of tiny, artificial frogs in a bouquet of flowers.
